Kippax Parish Council
Kippax Parish Council (KPC) is made up of 16 Councillors across three wards in Kippax. The Council is an elected tier of local government and the “Parish” refers to the boundaries of Kippax that we serve. We’ve been proudly serving the residents of Kippax since 2004.

Martin is Chairman of KPC, as well as Chairman of the Planning Committee, Christmas Lights Committee, Community Pantry Committee, Village Services Committee and Youth and Leisure Committee and a member of the Finance and Corporate Governance Committee, the Newsletter Committee and the Personnel Committee. He is a very active councillor and dedicates a lot of time to supporting special projects throughout the village.

Julia is a dedicated Parish Councillor, she is the Vice Chairman of the Personnel Committee and the Community Pantry Committee as well as an active member of the Finance and Corporate Governance Committee, the Newsletter Committee, the Christmas Lights Committee, the Youth and Leisure Committee and the Planning Committee. She is a very active member of the village, holds an active role in the High Street Team and regularly helping to organise events and projects throughout the village.

Steven was co-opted onto Kippax Parish Council in January 2025 and is an active member of the Newsletter Committee, Village Services Committee and Youth and Leisure Committee. He is a keen “Wombler” and takes pride in clearing our surrounding areas of litter. Steven attends St. Aidens RSPB Forum, is a Trustee of Vicars Court and is also a Parish Councillor for Allerton. He is very proactive and approachable and is happy to stop and chat while walking the dogs around Kippax.

Chris joined Kippax Parish Council in November 2023. Chris has a keen interest in serving Kippax residents and helping the council do it’s best for the local community. Chris is also responsible for the KPC website.
Meetings, Minutes and Agendas
In addition to Full Council, there are various Committees and Advisory Groups as part of Kippax Parish Council which focus on different tasks and projects and make recommendations at the formal Parish Council meetings. Please click on each group to view details on members, meeting dates and venues, minutes and agendas.
The public and press are invited to all meetings and can speak in the public forum sessions specified on the agendas.
Meetings usually take place on the third Thursday of the month at 7pm. There is a public forum at the meeting and the agenda covers updates from each group and committee, special projects and new items for consideration.
Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of the month. The committee oversees the council budget, funding applications and special projects and makes recommendations to the full council.
Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm. The Planning Committee is responsible for considering planning applications, developments and structural plans in the village.
Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. The Village Services Committee is focused on the maintenance and upkeep of the village and is responsible for the Village Caretaker.
Meetings take place on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm. The Youth & Leisure Committee is responsible for activities, events and projects in the village including Breeze events, leisure facilities and equipment and other special projects.
The Christmas Lights Planning Committee comes together around August time each year to begin planning the village lights switch-on event and other festive activties in the village.
Meetings take place on the first Tuesday of each Month at 6:15pm. The Community Pantry Committee is responsible for making decisions on all activities relating to the community pantry including raising funds and spending within the allocated funding.
The Newsletter Committee meetings are held at 8:30pm on the third Thursday of the month. The Committee was set up in July 2024 and is responsible for creating a new Kippax Voice Newsletter for publication on the KPC website and social media sites and for printing and distributing in the community. The Committee published the First edition of Kippax Voice in October 2024, and subsequent editions are published on a quarterly basis.
